How Great Leaders Inspire Action

Pop the hood, see the systems, do likewise

Ever wondered why companies like Apple are able to BLOW their competitors away?

How they’re able to be so innovative and connect with their customers in such a way that they literally create a buying FRENZY every time they launch a new product––where there are LINES out the door CHOCK FULL of crazy loyal customers (like myself) who see it as necessity (not luxury) to get the latest version of a new iPhone or MacBookPro?

I have.

I’m FASCINATED by this stuff because it’s all about psychology.

It’s about leadership, clarity, and moving people to action.

It’s about standing head and shoulders above the crowd instead of having a “me too business”.

OF COURSE those topics interest me! I’m an entrepreneur and a coach. It’s my JOB to move people who need what I have toward ACTION––so they can GET the results they came to me looking for.

I made this post for you so you could “pop the hood” and take a look underneath to see what kind of engine turns businesses like Apple AND, as it turns out… Abundant Yogi.

Watch this video first, then read my closing comments below. If THIS doesn’t give you a HUGE AHA, I don’t know what will!

Okay, so WOW, huh?

Now I want to tie some things together for you so you GET how to implement this new AHA.

Remember a couple days ago when I sent out that email broadcast where I looked within my own community to find my next team members?

That was ON PURPOSE.

It was a direct implementation of the concepts you just learned in this video. I was very transparent and direct in my approach, careful to weed out the peeps who didn’t BELIEVE what I BELIEVE or have the DESIRE to be a part of this company and what it represents as much as (or even MORE SO than) they care about a little extra cash. Remember, as you learned in the video, both in HIRING your team and in enrolling new clients/customers into your programs, the goal is to find people whose personal beliefs compel them to be a part of what you’ve created, for THEIR sake, not YOURS.

Then they’ll be loyal for life. Then you’ll have a WIN-WIN. Then your company will achieve amazing feats (like creating the first flying machine) because your people will be vested in the company vision solely because it represents WHO they are and what they BELIEVE IN!

And you know what?

I got over 60 voice messages from people applying for the position I needed to fill. And the calls are STILL coming in.

Now I get to sort and sift through those to find the very best match for the internship.

Think that’ll make for a WIN-WIN, a loyal and heartfelt connection?

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that it will. And we’ll ALL benefit from that.

So you’ve seen under the hood. You’ve discovered how great leaders inspire action. Now go and do likewise.

And before I forget…

Keep an eye on your inbox in the next few days. Something BIG BIG BIG is coming!

Something I’ve had a HELLUVA time keeping from you for the last month. And I am coming out of my SKIN because I can’t WAIT to spill the beans.

Soon…. so soon.

Until then, all my love to you.

XO,

WOW is right! This really hit home with me. I love TED talks and I really love the science of how and why this works with people. As always, thank you so much for your simplistic inspiration. Sometimes we just need to hear it from someone else’s perspective for it to strike a nerve within us. You do a great job with that every time. namaste my sister,

      Hey Angie.
I know, I’m a huge TED fan. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one that didn’t light me up in some way or gift me with an empowering insight.
Thanks for your feedback. Hearing that what I do helps, counts and is appreciated NEVER gets old. So big hug for the acknowledgment.
      Much love.

You are AMAZING, I love YOU!:) I was so glad to know when I saw this video that I have always started with the “WHY”…It’s how I roll:)…I live my life from inspiration, not obligation…and it was so wonderful to hear the back up of that, the reasons why we should come from “why” from a business standpoint.

Kris, you continue to change my life everyday, I can’t even tell you enough! XOXO

Well said, Kris! I completely agree. My version of this message is that if we want to live our purpose, we need to connect with our personal values so that we can not only build great teams that support and share our vision in our businesses, but also so that our FRIENDS and loved ones are complimentary to our life mission. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post and am really super excited to hear your news! (I think I know what it is… 😉 xoxo.
